MacGuffin 12: The Log
MacGuffin is a biannual design & crafts magazine featuring stories about the life of ordinary things. Each edition of the magazine takes an object and explores the manifold stories it generates and uncovers the personal and sometimes curious relationships we have with the stuff that surrounds us.
‘The Log’ takes a walk in the woods to explore the design and politics of timber. From the last Norwegian trunks that floated down the Glomma to the indigenous logs that help map the Amazon, and from Jamaican lacebark trees to online chatbots, meet the logs that function as totems, design tools, oracles, wormholes, comic figures, activist artworks, village idiots, prison cells, logbooks, nightmares, and dreams. With contributions by James Beckett, José Bessa Freire, Khaled Jarrar, Emily King, Eliot Haworth, Rudy Guedj, Ellef Prestsæter, Olga Prader, Formafantasma, Santídio Pereira, SulSolSal, Max Lamb, Kai Lobjakas, Lou-Lou van Staaveren, and many, many more.

We are an independent, family run business, handling all orders locally from our Oslo store, Norway. Once you order, you will receive an email from us, letting you know about the shipping and delivery time.
Shipping
Free shipping in Norway on all orders above 1000 kr, except on heavier goods, like sofas, lounge chairs, dining tables, larger shelves, rugs and sofa tables. If in doubt, please ask us.
The shipping cost is calculated at checkout. You can always choose to collect in our Oslo store or warehouse outside Oslo for larger items, for free. For home deliveries on larger items, please contact the store.
Standard handling time for all items in stock is 1-3 days, in addition to the postal service's delivery time.
Most of our furniture is not kept in stock and are subject to a certain delivery time stated in the product description.
Returns and Non-Refundable Products
We have a standard 14 days return policy, except on custom-made and made to order furniture, lighting and rugs. Please ask if in doubt.
